i don't even really like the idea of playing at all seeing as the game for sure isn't getting new actual content in favor of terulia getting that instead and a lot of weird things will never really be fixed most likely -- though i'm not entirely sure

it's fun to pop on and train and chat and all that but the fact is the game's gone from like a lot of organized kingdoms and stuff that'd war or negotiate things with each other, with little rogue groups like norkia or THE BLACK ROSE... or whatever running around and mixing things up, to pretty much the entire game just being those rogue groups (and usually it's just 1 really, really strong rogue group of tight-knit guys who play hella much and know how to do things like snipe ruins perms for godly gear) and anyone who isn't in them really can't do shit

it's tight-knit dudes who don't give a shit about anything but griefing other players vs other similar groups, the only way to stand up is to form your own, but then you have to say, contend with the already-strong ones for stuff like ruins chests, who'll always kick your ass if they find out you're down there, etc. it's like there's nothing you can really do but either try to become friends with LORD BLAXS or whoever's the big dawg in the latest neo-norkia or just play secret ninja alts and lurk in the shadows trying to solo (in which case you'll never, ever, ever get good equipment and never really be able to do anything interesting)

I haven't even played in a couple months but it seems it's still pretty much the same deal. I think right now the main problem with me -- that's something that can actually be changed, unlike the community itself -- is the way equipment works. it seems with the huge exp boost and tiny, tiny level cap these days it's trying to "be more like terulia" where everyone's more balanced with each other faster and the pvp and such is more based on skill than stats. that's all fine and dandy, but then you have these guys like, doing their little tight-knit-group ruins runs and dragon runs, get godly equip for someone's WW, let them go solo look ruins chests etc for even more godly stuff, and voila you have the most insane equipment in the game being circulated around the same guys, who'll regularly have members just scouting random dungeons for perms and kill anyone trying to loot them for themselves. and the way ffo works, there's just not enough maps for the game to have enough content to "stretch" the huge equipment pool to its limit, so you basically have 95% of the game's content offering up to maybe halfway up the equipment chain, then 5%'s worth of content (dragons, ruins perms, garland) offering the entire upper-half spectrum of equipment tiers and affix tiers. imo you should either

A) just make it so highest-tier stuff can drop from champs anywhere in the game and end this stupid 2-rooms-in-the-whole-game-where-you-can-get-high-end-stuff-after-garland shit where there's just plain not enough to allow people to share correctly or

B) just remove anything higher than mid-tier from the game entirely
