I'd been holding off posting these pictures due to the move to terulia.com. I've decided to try hosting the images directly on the web server to avoid the compression issues of Photobucket. If hosting the images becomes a problem, I'll go back to doing things the old way (or maybe set up a third server dedicated to image hosting).

This was a fairly difficult trip thanks to the swift current and unfortunate tide changes, but aside from that and the constant yellow fly onslaught, the trip was actually pretty nice.

I believe this is the first snake I've managed to get a picture of while kayaking.


I stopped to clear this path that leads from the bridge in the next picture down to the river.
Once the water level river to >12ft deep, I'll continue up the river from this point.
