Spell cost issue

What do capped Wizards mana pools look like? I'm noticing around the early stages of causing significant damage (sayy...level 12 for a bm) that my tier 2's are costing a bit more than my mp can handle.

Granted I have no mana regen or mana boosting items, so I'm very disadvantaged there. But I do recall a BW the other day who put on a snake piece claiming she had about 260-ish mana.

I bring this up because I noticed in the updates Gaku gave 150% mana, even though the max level is nearly halved from last hosting. With spells costing the same (especially for poor lifers and refreshers who have naturally less mp) it feels like spell cost should've been reduced to keep things proportionate. Even at a low (and essentially useless level) I can only cast scry once (vs. the twice minimum no matter my scry level vs mana pool) before ethering and whatnot.

But there's also an extra CC bonus so this may not matter in a couple more levels for me, I'm just curious as to other people's input.

My White Wizard has had no problems yet either.

Well, none aside from those they always have, which would be he does run out of MP sometimes.

I know Life seems to take like, half my MP bar, but I have no idea if its an issue or not cause I'm not very observant about those things. I usually have no problem keeping my thirst up, but in longer parties I need my snake+soul to prevent thirst from going down.

I hear Wraith bows are all the rage these days.

Poor Zap Shortbow of the Wraith, usable with default prof.

They are pretty damn handy for all casters. Take a quick break from casting and fill up.

Okay, so 270 for a capped BW with Snake...that's what I really needed to know.

I was just looking at the numbers of it all and thinking it seemed a bit off. Thanks for the input guys.

@Locke: I was thinking more about the every day, all day spells. Tier 1s, 2s, 3s, statuses, buffs and whatnot.

@Lumino: I'd think every caster without refresh would at some point :P. Also I was looking only at the numbers aspect of the issue (Mana pool vs spell cost vs frequency of use) and discounting the variables that not everyone is fortunate to get their hands on all the times (short bows of the wraith, refresh, soul, etc etc).

@Tea: That's what it was...thanks.
