(Here is what I have so far, let me know what you guys think before I post it. I'm nowhere near as good a writer as Magnus but I think its alright. A couple notes: The bolded title is just something I'm in the habit of doing, and rather than use "5th floor" I decided to name it. I also used the character of Raun for a point of view to watch events unfold. Finally, my grammar is terrible so if you see any issues let me know so I can correct them!)

Vorgardian Ruins
The Aphotic Depths

As usual, the deepest section of the Vorgardian ruins was shrouded in darkness as a group of adventurers cautiously made their way out of the antechamber and into the broad, dark chamber that made up most of the floor. At its head, clad in a mixture of heavy and light equipment and armed with a long shimmering staff, Jeebs stalked quietly forward, wary for any sign of the powerful Dark Dragons that made this ancient fortress their home. “Stay close, “ he whispered to the others behind him, never turning his head.

Bringing up the rear of the group, the Red Wizard Raun watched the group ahead bunch a little closer together. He looked around, noting it was very quiet. There didn’t seem to be any of the usual undead creatures hiding in the shadows, or even the elusive dragons themselves. It was almost like someone had already been here.

…

After the better part of an hour, their torches quickly fading, the group stopped to take a short break. Jeebs didn’t seem to be out of breath at all, pacing around the group as if daring something to jump out of the imposing darkness that surrounded them. Abruptly, Jeebs bent down as if noticing something on the floor for the first time. He picked it up, and Raun noted whatever it was glimmering in the dim torch light. “Hey, I’ve never seen a ring like this before!” Jeebs said, slipping it on his finger, “ I wonder what it does. Hmm.”


Raun watched as Jeebs seemed to concentrate for a moment, then disappeared in a flash that didn’t seem to illuminate anything, reappearing again right in the middle of the group a split-second later. “That’s interesting…I feel kind of strange though. Let’s get out of here and I can play around with it more-“

“You’re not going anywhere with that ring, “ a stern, demanding voice suddenly spoke. A man who had not been there before - clad in heavy armor and wielding some type of long spear - suddenly emerged from the shadows. “It doesn’t belong to you, give it to me.”

“Who are you?” Jeebs asked. “What does it do? I found it…”

“That’s none of your concern. Give it to me, now, or I’ll take it.”

“Fine, fine, “ Jeebs replied, trying to pull the ring off his finger. “Its kinda stuck though…”

“That’s too bad then, “ the man said, stepping back, disappearing into the darkness.

Jeebs was the first one to break the silence a moment later. “Well, that was odd…” He trailed off at what sounded like growling. It seemed to be coming from all around them, and dark shapes came together beyond the edges of the torch light.

So far so good, I like the whole thing. I won't nitpick it too much because we are on the same page. As a suggestion, maybe later on after this first part we can go into details of the origins of the ruing and Tempos.

This is nice to set up the first event though....

All I need now is a time that should be set up for the first chapter. I'd say next Wednesday if Mags schedule fits.

I'd love to do this, but Tempos is Magnus's creation if I recall right so I wouldn't want to meddle with his vision of the whole thing.

Yes, Tempos is MGs idea but I took it and expanded it. I'm sure he has no problems with you continuing the idea. I would like to know if MG did have a previous backstory for Tempos or a future plan for him that might contradict the story.

For now,all of this is up in the air so feel free to use as much creativity and imagination. Ill help out with ideas still and put down floating thoughts I may come up with.

Also at some point i planned to tie both the RNCBP and Magnuses story together upon his return to the FFO world, and that was bound to include tempos.

If no one objects id like to write the background of the ruins and tempos and such, but i like lockes version for the rp.

as for my schedule, the only days that I know for sure, are tomorrow and saturday Im free after 8pm eastern. I wont know about next week untill saturday.
