Pokemon are literally typed as animals with special powers, but Digimon actually have character development, some of them being way more interesting than their Chosen Child.

Digimon's first season was boss. Pokemon's first season was.. okay.
Digimon's card game was terribly awful. Pokemon's was slightly better but inferior to Magic the Gathering. Digimon's video games SUCKED. The first one was "okay", if you're bored and have nothing better to do. Pokemon's games are addicting as fuck but god damn the new ones are all the same shit. So, we tally up the score and I think one thing is certain.
