Have you read it?

If you have, have you completed the final book yet?

What did you think?

Well I hate that the Shara nation just got thrown in on the last book. Like, the entire series with a FEW random mentions of them then suddenly "lol sup im damendred and totally control an entire nation for lulz"

Yo bro, whatever. Obvious plot device is obvious.

Also I hated the ending of Padan Fain. I hated him to begin with but come on. He was becoming this dark, powerful thing that was apparently unstoppable and feared by the Dark One and on level with him some how, according to some lines. Then Mat's like "bro sup, dagger to face any questions"

Whatever, man....

Totally love how Rand ended though. Really cool he'll be able to live his life now because of everything.
Also, I got the impression he was able to channel simply by thinking, like he was in the Dream World. Is that what you got? Pretty awesome, he's like the Creator on Earth now, haha.

I dunno, lots of big stuff happened. I got goose bumps a lot. And I got pissed a lot. And I cried a lot. The choice of characters to die was terrible. Egwene, come on!! And everyone going at Damandred and just getting owned. Come on, that one guy had like twenty five shadow rings on. And the other guy was immune to channeling. He can't be that good, are you kidding! haha

Whatever, I wish some of those people didn't have to die. I'm sure there will never be an after-story (Well maybe, Star Wars had one, DragonLance had one, etc etc) but if there is, it'll be terrible not to have some of those people around.

I dunno I read it awhile ago. If this post came out a day after the book was released this would be a giant, giant, rage post....

Shara was pretty random, but I guess it's sort of cool seeing them in some capacity. At least we know where Demandred was. I thought his whole "Where are you Lews Therin? Come fight me!" thing was kinda silly, though. So many Darkfriends in the good guy's camp and he still couldn't figure out Therin wasn't there? Hah.

Yeah, Padan Fain seemed like a huge afterthought. Like they got to the end and were like "oh, right. That guy. Better tie that up!" I thought maybe if Rand had destroyed the Dark One, Fain would take his place.

Yeah, with Rand I got the same thing. Either that or it's something new that was created by combining both sides of the One Power as well as the True Power. Who would want to be in Moridin's body, though? Eww.

Me too, basically. Some scenes were pretty good. Mat's parts were awesome, with the whole thing with Tuon. I love when Egwene finds out. One thing I was sad they didn't include were any really badass Old Tongue lines from Mat. There were a couple normalish ones, but oh well. Mat was kind of dripping with badass the whole book anyway.

Egwene's death seemed unnecessary, just like Gawyn's. Gawyn and Galad together could have probably taken Demandred. Ugh. I guess the world just couldn't handle Egwene, as she was basically the most badass female channeler by the end.

There were a lot of deaths that just seemed thrown in, like the Basheres and Bryne's. I almost wish more main characters had died, but in good ways, I guess. For awhile there I really thought Elayne and Faile wouldn't make it.

I was disappointed that there was no scene where Hawkwing and Tuon met face to face. That would have been interesting. Especially if he went "oh yeah, we came because of this little kid from these lands."

I really liked how Jain Farstrider became one of the Heroes of the Horn, especially after his badass death. Such a cool character.

I think there's only going to be one more story, and it's a side story related to one character, but that's all we know. Otherwise they're not planning anything new, probably because RJ has passed away and all.

Nice to see the series finally end, but at the same time there's now a void where 10 years of mystery and guessing were.

Oh well.
