War of Heroes is a BYOND game that draws many similarities to DotA. Has a lot of the same classes and the gameplay is similar to that style of game. It's worth a look if you have some spare time to jump in game and check it out. I'll host a server and leave it up overnight if you guys want to play for a while, and if I get enough people that actually want to play the game I'll leave up a server most of the time so people can actually play.

byond://174.100.57.129:5555 is the IP if anyone's interested in joining. I set it on "Protect the King" mode for the current game, if the game finishes before I wake up tomorrow it'll just auto set to Free Mode (which is basically just a practice mode) until I'm around to change it.

Also, there's a class on the Legion side called the Phantom. It's Stealth ability is bugged and the Revealing Powder does not work on them. It'd be nice if people didn't abuse the shit out of this, thanks :(

List of classes in game. Don't let the "Unfinished" yellow text turn you away from those classes, most of them still have skills that make them really effective anyway.


A pop up that gives you a brief description of each classes skills. Some classes don't have this pop-up completed, but still have skills in game.


What the interface looks like when you first get into the game. That NPC in the corner below me is a shop NPC where you can buy items and gear.


Shop interface. Pretty simple, you just double click an item and if you have the gold (and materials if necessary) for the item you can purchase it. If you right click on an item and choose "Information" it will show you if you need any additional items before you can make that one.

It's being worked on by someone named The Magic Man. The game's been around for a while now, but the updates are coming at a fairly slow rate because when asked about when the next update was coming, he said that he doesn't really have much motivation to work on the game at the moment.

It's still a fun game to play, but a few of the classes are overpowered and need tweaked so they can't just oneshot the mage classes when they max out their skills.
