High end gear is supposed to have high-end costs. Before, people could maintain (and in some cases, engrave extremely high-end gear with little to no effort, yet still reap the benefits from them. This update affected gear in two ways: directly, it made the high tier gear have a high tier gear cost, which seems reasonable. Indirectly, it also gave better reasoning to use, as well as purpose, to use lower tier gear.

FFO is muuuuuuuch more balanced with mid-tier equipment as compared to having high-tier stuff cost only barely more than mid-tier and everyone being stupidly overpowered, resulting in changes (most of the time, nerfs) as a result.

Sai had loads of OP champmen to pay for his top gear and he still had issues. This update also took effect after my eviction from Irendi Guardhouse, and by extension, highlands.

I already said I was wrong. What's your point?

That's funny because no I wouldn't. I'm sitting on a mountain of gold right now in Leamaia; it would be no different if I started my Irendi Conquest and moved back into Irendi Guardhouse.

My opinion isn't based on my own benefit and issues; everyone is having issues. I gave thought into this before I necro'd the thread, and I strongly believe that this needs to be fixed.

The only reason you're saying that it's based on my current situation is because I switched my stance on this after, oh I don't know, three months, and I already admitted to being wrong about that because I was careless in extrapolating a few assumptions from the little time I spent with higher end gear. Now that I've had more time to experiment with this high end gear, I can wholeheartedly say that yes, the update was too drastic and unneeded.

I made an error, so I corrected myself once I saw the real problem. I decided to bump the topic and continually pester Gaku about it because no one else wanted to (plus I guess the guy likes me or whatever so he don't mind), which is why I'm the only one complaining about the gear cost at the moment. Plus, y'know, I speak for the community because I'm Ruler of FFO as decreed by Lord Marcus XVIII.

So again, what's your point?

Because you say EVERYONE is having issues as if there's more than four people playing right now and that there's a community to even represent. I change my view too. It's all fine because noone's playing.

The gold hasn't changed at all. I've always had money available to me. That's why I mentioned the gold in the first place; it wasn't a variable in this at all.

Poor, rich, it doesn't matter. The cost spike has been an issue, and it's going to be an issue until it gets fixed. Which, like I mentioned before, is why I bothered bringing it up after all this time.

I don't get why people try to use the size of the community as an argument. It doesn't matter if FFO currently has two players or twenty.
The people who play have an issue with this cost spike.
The people who play want to fix the cost spike.
One of the people who plays spoke up about the cost spike.
The people who play agree with the spokesperson.

I've explained why I changed my standpoint, as well as why I bothered with bumping this topic. I also explained how this doesn't just effect me, nor is based on what I solely believe.

What you are currently doing is being perceived as direct harassment, and being contradictory and instigative to other forum users. You stated earlier in this thread that you agreed that the spike in gear cost needed to be toned down, and now you are harassing someone who has changed his mind and decided to agree with you.

Please stop with the harassment before bad things happen. I don't really know why, but bad things tend to happen to people that harass others on these forums. Must be the Terms of Service you have agreed to.

By players you mean Cea who is 1/6th of the game's population. And yes size DOES matter because time would be better spent on Terulia. As for being rich and this being an issue (?) I wear full novice, with a few ultra godly O P pieces such as a conjuror heal hat or apprentice pants of the tiger.

Also money is a variable. I mean it's cool though you can continue to harass Gaku and spam until things are changed but that won't change the fact that 6 people are playing and half of those are afk, with me and Sai here only temporarily.

You have no competition for anything really why are you whining.

I am making no personal insults, I am disagreeing with Letha over his views, the funny thing is me and him make up 1/3rd of the game and noone else is voicing their opinion because they don't exist. Also what's with the subtle threatening tones you and Letha always seem to get away with, didn't do you two any harm.
