I was just thinking how come last hosting was so much more fun than this?...Maby it was the actual wars domain battles large groups of conflict. Magnus li got on tonight and said this when we were talking about it...." Magnus Li domain says: They've been pampered too much with admins solving their problems,". To put it short last hosting if there was a problem we battled about it...this hosting we complain to the admin. Maby just maby lock should tell them to FUCK OFF and stand up for themselves...But u know thats just me rambling on.

Anyway, kingdoms are dead, but I think the idea Vincent's trying to put forth is that players would rather whine to admins then fight their enemies. That's true in some cases, certainly, but not every case. A lot of times one group just gets bored and leaves and that opens the way for another to come into power and things like that. I think that's where we are now. I doubt any big group will start playing again even if their enemies do quit. Usually when someone whines to me, its an entire group whining, and not individual players. Usually unaffiliated players just keep playing, quit quietly, or play off and on and don't care.

Its really hard to say why it worked so well before the pwipe and doesn't now. We seemed to have a lot more separate groups playing then, but a lot of those players have left completely at one point or another. I'd say the most likely cause is that FFO just isn't fresh anymore, and those people are probably waiting for Terulia to come out.

Vincent seemed to find it appropriate to leave off the rest of our conversation, so allow me to add some points in.

What we were talking about before hand was how nobody this version had the right to say they 'took' power. TSH just got their first, and didn't really have anyone oppose them, and Cea only really rose to power when TSH left. It's the same now, the new lords of domains simply filled the vacuum of power. In my mind, if you 'took' power, you paid for it in blood. There were no wars or epic struggles this time, so it lacked any real power. Whenever someone took domains, everyone fell in under them because they were too scared to oppose them. Hence where the pampered remark came in.

Also, the follow up to that quote about being pampered: What people don't seem to get is that Cea and co were not banned for attacking newbies or such like that. They were banned for pissing off Locke and Gaku. People need to understand that Locke can do what he wants, when he wants, and doesn't have to give you a reason at all.

I dunno what the fuck Vincent's talking about. People complained a ton last hosting. I can point out a good 5 changes off the top of my head that affected ONE group of players (or was caused by one group of players) because people IM'ed Gaku to complain and most of it was twisted truth.


It's just this time people are banned instead of having tonberries thrown at them.

This isn't a new twist on the hosting. The only difference now is that people would rather sit in domains and complain (or apparently the new fad is stay a newbie longer than Arcus hehe) than train to get stronger then form groups and attack their enemy.

Will you please stop saying that? You know it's not true. In theory Locke can do whatever he wants but there is a line. But he won't. We were given the reason why we were banned, and were told it was because newbies were too afraid to play the game or go to Argo and such. Just because you have this belief that you must blindly follow your superiors, doesn't mean it's the right way to go about things.

Basically, Lumino, you're making Locke and Gaku look bad. We're merely stating that it was from making newbies lives miserable, so to speak. Honestly in my opinion that's perfectly justified to warrant a banishment. YOU are saying it's because "we're locke and gaku this is our game we can do wuddeva da fuck we want". Which, like I said in theory, is true. But honestly do you think that's the kind of game they want to be running? A game where they can just ban whoever they don't like? I'm sure I can guess their answer.
