If you've ever played Terulia, then you know one of the first things to happen in the game is what? You get a "mercenary".
There's a reason for this... You now are no longer under the burden of having to level your character to finish quests and become stronger; you just have to play smart.
Leveling in Terulia is about as meaningful as a Boy Scout merit badge. It increases your stats slightly, is used for ranking, but doesn't mean jack when you're just one cog in the machine (you + mercs).
FFO does not work this way. In FFO, levels make a huge difference and are seen by many as the ultimate goal of the game - to be the most powerful, etc.

Maybe a pwipe is the best course of action not because some people got ahead of you before the nerfs but because you're all playing FFO wrong.
You have missed the point of playing a social multiplayer game.

Yes, Just pwipe the people that are constantly complaing about every little thing on the forums.. also, (gaku you already saw this part) I dont really see a point to closing to game because they dont even put any time or effort into playing, secondly I dont even see anyone of them on and when they are on, not idle in a town...

When I read my last post I forgot to put *sarcasm* beside "It's so bad even I don't play anymore".

Anywho, the game is not as bad as people are making it out to be. It's just a few drastic changes in the right direction. People are just shocked at first to see the new gameplay sytle (me included).

I won't lie. I was cheezed off at the part when I lost 10+ profs for dying the first few times but now I like how you only lose upon cube deaths.

...really busy at work etc, which is why I really don't play as often if you guys are wondering. Lyfes busy.

that's right, ***nus ***, none of the unimportant people miss jeebs. He's done more for this game than you could -possibly- do for homosexual stereotypes. That being said, the game (currently) feels like more work than my job and I move ****ing sleeper sofas all god damned day. I do realise that this system is a work in progress, and the only reason I play is because I want to take a hand in getting it balanced out. I'm not gonna let myself get all worked up and pissed off over this new system because leh -GASP- it's a NEW SYSTEM THAT NEEDS SOME TWEAKS. You think the wright brothers got the airplane right the first time? **** their first "successful" plane only flew like 130 feet and even then it could only really be called an "extended glide". Now the game's down for the weekend because everyone's whining. Good job everyone, now we can't all go test **** out and make suggestions (as if all of you were doing that **** anyway).

tl;dr I'm not any happier than you guys are about it but like it or not, FFO's a testing ground for terulia, which Gaku wants to be a success, he's obviously not going to leave the system as-is if nobody's willing to play with the way it is, and big surprise, if no one's playing, nothing's getting fixed, because we all know Gaku doesn't play FFO and roughly 80% of all the updates ever made to the game have been player suggested.
